In brief
A summary of this page:
- This website does not use its own cookies. Only during an attack or unusual traffic may the hosting provider set a short-lived security cookie in a browser that passes the verification page.
- For functions you initiate, such as the comparison list and language selection, it stores a few small items of information in your browser. This information does not leave your device and is not sent to us.
- No analytics, advertising or social media tools are used.
- The Google map on the contact page is not loaded until you click the “Show map” button. If, when clicking, you tick the “Load the map in this browser for 6 months without asking me” box, the map is loaded without asking during that period. When the map is loaded, Google may use its own cookies.
What are cookies and browser storage?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser and that is sent back to the website with subsequent requests. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) also allows a website to keep information in your browser; unlike cookies, this information is not automatically sent to the server.
Information in localStorage remains until the period stated in the table below expires or until you delete it; however, some browsers (e.g. Safari) may delete it automatically if you do not visit the website for some time. Information in sessionStorage is deleted when you close the tab.
This website’s own cookies
This website does not use its own cookies. We have verified this through tests in the browser engines used by Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The security cookie that the hosting provider may set only during an attack is explained below under “Hosting provider”. If we start using cookies, we will first update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
Information we store in your browser
The following information is written only when you perform an action. None of it contains an identification number that identifies you, none of it is sent to the server, and we cannot see it.
| Name | Type | Purpose | When it is written | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| dermix:compare | localStorage | Holds the names and on-site identifiers (e.g. “flexder-plus”) of up to 3 products you have selected for comparison; the comparison page displays this list. | When you tick the “Compare” box on a product card or the “Add to comparison” box on a product page, remove a product from the list or press the “Clear” button | Until you clear the list or delete your browser data | First party (this website) |
| dermix:lang | localStorage | Holds the language you have selected (e.g. “en”) and the date of your choice so that the language suggestion bar shown on the basis of your browser language does not appear again. It does not automatically redirect you to another language. | When you select a language from the language selector in the top menu, the language list in the footer or the language suggestion bar | 12 months or until you delete your browser data (whichever comes first) | First party (this website) |
| dermix:lang-suggest-dismissed | localStorage | Records that you have closed the language suggestion bar (value “1”) and when you closed it, so that the bar does not appear again on subsequent pages. | When you close the language suggestion bar | 12 months or until you delete your browser data (whichever comes first) | First party (this website) |
| dermix:finder | sessionStorage | Holds the application area you selected in the “Find the right product” section on the home page (e.g. “havuz-ve-su-deposu”), so that your selection is retained while you browse in the same tab. | When you select an application area in the “Find the right product” section | Deleted by your browser when you close the tab | First party (this website) |
| dermix:map-consent | localStorage | Records that you have agreed to display the map, the date of your agreement and the version of the information and consent text you saw; during this period the map is loaded without asking you again. | When you tick the “Load the map in this browser for 6 months without asking me” box while clicking “Show map” | 6 months; you are then asked again. Deleted immediately when you withdraw your consent | First party (this website) |
If your browser blocks storage, the website still works; however, no comparison list can be created, your language selection and the suggestion bar you closed are not remembered, and you are asked about the map every time.
Why we do not ask for consent for this information
Each of these records is necessary to provide a function you have expressly requested: the comparison list, the language you selected, the suggestion bar you closed, your selection in the “Find the right product” section and your decision about the map. None of them is used to track you, measure visits or show you advertising.
The Guidelines on Cookie Practices (Çerez Uygulamaları Hakkında Rehber) of the Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu) state that cookies that are strictly necessary for a service expressly requested by the user do not require explicit consent and that asking for consent for such cookies would be incompatible with the principle of good faith. The Guidelines contain no separate guidance on localStorage and sessionStorage; we assess these records by the same criterion. To the extent that these records constitute personal data, they are based on our legitimate interest in providing the function you requested (Art. 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, “KVKK”).
The Guidelines also state that, unless additional information is provided, clicking a button cannot be interpreted as a request for the choice to be remembered for longer than the session. We therefore state separately in the comparison bar, the language menu and the language suggestion bar that the comparison list and your language selection will be remembered in this browser. The dermix:lang and dermix:lang-suggest-dismissed records are deleted automatically after 12 months.
For visitors in the EU/EEA, too, these records fall under the exemption in Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive: they are strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user.
How to delete this information
You can delete the records at any time:
- Comparison list: press the “Clear” button in the comparison bar.
- Map preference: use the “Withdraw my consent for the map” button at the end of this page or the “Hide map and withdraw my consent” button below the map on the contact page.
- All records: delete the cookies and site data for this website in your browser settings. The name of the option varies from browser to browser; it is usually found in the Privacy or Security section.
- The selection you make in the “Find the right product” section on the home page is deleted automatically when you close the tab. Information stored in a private (incognito) window is also deleted when you close the window.
Google Maps (only with your consent)
The map on the contact page is provided by Google LLC (USA). No request is sent to Google until you click the “Show map” button. If you have previously chosen to have the map loaded in this browser for 6 months without being asked, the map is loaded without asking during that period.
Our address and the “Get directions” and “Open in Google Maps” links to Google Maps are always visible (“Get directions” is also in the footer of every page). These links open Google’s website in a new tab, where Google’s own terms apply.
When you load the map, your browser loads it from Google’s servers (www.google.com, maps.googleapis.com, maps.gstatic.com, fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). In doing so, Google receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. The website does not send the address of the page you are on to Google; however, Google may learn that the map is displayed on this website. Google explains what information the browser sends to it when Google services are embedded in other websites on Google’s page about partner sites.
In doing so, Google may set or read its own cookies. Google does not separately disclose which cookies the embedded map uses. Some of the cookies that Google lists on its cookies page are:
| Name | Purpose stated by Google | Duration stated by Google | Party |
|---|---|---|---|
| NID | Remembering preferences such as language; may also be used to show ads in Google services to users who are not signed in | 6 months from last use | Third party (Google) |
| __Secure-ENID | Remembering preferences | 13 months | Third party (Google) |
| AEC | Preventing spam, fraud and abuse | 6 months | Third party (Google) |
| SOCS | Storing your cookie preferences | 13 months | Third party (Google) |
In our tests with browsers not signed in to Google, the map did not set any cookies. However, this may vary depending on the country you are in, whether you are signed in to your Google account and your browser settings; we therefore cannot guarantee that no cookies will be used.
Google processes this data under its own responsibility in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. Use of the map is subject to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service.
Legal basis: the explicit consent you give by reading the statement under the heading “Explicit consent” and clicking the “Show map” button (Art. 5(1) KVKK). For visitors in the EU/EEA, consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and under the national rules implementing Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
Withdrawing your consent for the map
You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the “Withdraw my consent for the map” button at the end of this page or the “Hide map and withdraw my consent” button below the map on the contact page. This deletes the dermix:map-consent record in your browser; the map is not loaded until you click again.
If you opened the map without ticking the remember box, no preference is stored in your browser; you are asked about the map again each time you open the contact page.
Withdrawal does not affect data already transmitted to Google up to that point. You can delete any cookies Google may have set in your browser via your browser settings; for data stored by Google, you can contact Google through the channels described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Transfers abroad
If you load the map, your data goes directly from your browser to Google and may be processed in the USA and in other countries where Google has servers. There is no adequacy decision of the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu) for these countries. Your data may therefore not benefit from all of the safeguards of the KVKK there, may be subject to access by the public authorities of that country, and it may be more difficult for you to exercise your rights abroad. If this transmission constitutes a transfer abroad, its legal basis is the explicit consent you give in awareness of these risks (Art. 9(6)(a) KVKK). Details: Privacy Notice (KVKK).
Hosting provider
The website is hosted on the infrastructure of İHS Kurumsal Teknoloji Hizmetleri A.Ş. (Türkiye), on servers in Türkiye. The provider processes connection data such as IP addresses in order to deliver the pages and protect the website against attacks; details are given in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).
The provider’s servers do not set cookies under normal circumstances. During an attack or unusual traffic the provider may automatically display a verification page; in that case a short-lived security cookie, used solely to protect the website against attacks, may be set in a browser that passes the verification.
Should we need to enable another security feature of the provider that uses cookies, we will add the cookies to be used, with their name, purpose and duration, to this policy in advance.
Analytics, advertising and social media
The website contains no analytics tools that collect visitor statistics, no advertising or remarketing tags and no social media plug-ins. Fonts and site search files are loaded from this website’s own server. The only exception is the fonts that the Google map, loaded with your consent, itself loads from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). The WhatsApp button in the bottom right-hand corner only opens an information window; the website contains no WhatsApp code or cookies, and no request is sent to WhatsApp until you click the “Start a WhatsApp chat” button.
If we consider adding analytics, advertising or social media tools, we will first update this policy; a tool that requires consent will not run until you have given your consent.
Changes and contact
When we amend this policy, we publish the current version on this page with the date of the update. If the information or consent text relating to the map changes, we ask for your consent again before the map is loaded. For questions and for your rights under the KVKK, please see the Privacy Notice (KVKK) or write to halilsahin@dermixyapi.com.tr.
Your consent has been withdrawn and the map preference in this browser has been deleted. The map will not be loaded until you click “Show map” again.
