Application Instructions
- 1
Surface Preparation
Metal and concrete substrates must be clean, sound, and level. The concrete substrate shall have a minimum tensile strength of 1 MPa. Absorbent substrates should be saturated with water before application, but standing water must not be present. Formwork must be watertight, pressure-resistant, and treated with a suitable release agent. The bottom and joints of the formwork should be sealed with GROUTDER. To ensure continuous grout flow, maintain a grout head of 150 – 200 mm in the pouring hopper throughout the application.
- 2
Mixing
Gradually add 25 kg of GROUTDER to 3.0 – 4.0 L of clean water. Mix for approximately 3 minutes using a low-speed mixer operating at 400 – 600 rpm until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Allow the mortar to rest for 2 minutes, then remix for 30 seconds before application. The prepared grout should be applied within 20 – 25 minutes.
- 3
Application
To prevent air entrapment, GROUTDER should be poured continuously from one side only. A steel rod may be used to assist the flow; however, vibration must not be used. The application thickness should be 10 – 75 mm in a single pour. The product is not suitable for thin or superficial concrete repairs. For applications exceeding 75 mm, clean aggregate with a particle size of 5 – 12 mm may be added at 30% of the grout weight or placed in the application area before pouring the grout.
Important Notes
- The application and ambient temperature should be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
- Use lukewarm mixing water in cold weather and cold mixing water in hot weather.
- After application, protect the surface from frost, rain, and direct sunlight for the first 3 hours.
- Clean all tools and equipment with water before the mortar hardens.
Storage and Shelf Life
Store in the original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture, frost, and direct sunlight. When stored under appropriate conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Health and Safety
This product is cement-based and may cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Appropriate personal protective equipment (protective clothing, protective gloves, safety goggles, and a dust mask) should be worn during application. The use of a protective skin cream before starting work is recommended. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention without delay.
