Product Description
DERMIX Fair-Faced Concrete Primer is an acrylic dispersion-based adhesion primer containing selected mineral fillers to improve substrate adhesion.
Application Areas
Used as a primer on highly absorbent fair-faced concrete surfaces in wall and ceiling applications to improve adhesion, extend the working time of cement- and gypsum-based plasters, and reduce substrate absorbency.
Features and Advantages
- Easy to apply.
- Provides high adhesion.
- Reduces water loss.

Application Instructions
- 1
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be clean and free from dust, oil, paint, curing compounds, and any other contaminants that may reduce adhesion. The surface should be roughened to ensure adequate bond strength. Dry and absorbent substrates should be pre-dampened until saturated before application, ensuring that no standing water remains on the surface.
- 2
Mixing
Mix the product with the recommended amount of clean water using a low-speed mixer (400–600 rpm) for 3 – 5 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free consistency is obtained. During application, periodically remix the mortar to maintain a uniform consistency.
- 3
Application
Apply the prepared material evenly to the substrate using a textured roller. Allow the product to cure for approximately 24 hours before applying gypsum-based or cement-based plaster.
Important Notes
- Do not use on rough render surfaces, exterior applications, or in areas subject to continuous moisture, such as swimming pools and bathrooms.
- During and after application, protect the primed surface from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.
Storage and Shelf Life
Store in the original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture, frost, and direct sunlight. When stored under appropriate conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Health and Safety
Wear suitable protective gloves, protective clothing, a dust mask, and safety goggles during mixing and application. Avoid contact with the eyes, skin, and mouth. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. If the product comes into contact with the eyes or is swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
