Product Description

DEKOPLAST 2604 is a single-component, water-repellent decorative finish coat mortar developed for exterior façades and external thermal insulation composite systems. It is based on white cement and modified with polymer additives.

Application Areas

Suitable as a decorative finish coat for ETICS, thin coat renders, ruled renders, and other mineral-based substrates. Offers high adhesion and excellent slip resistance, allowing safe application on vertical surfaces. Easy to apply and can be textured easily using a plastic float.

Features and Advantages

  • Reaction to Fire Class A1, Dry Film Thickness E5, Grain Size S4, Water Vapour Transmission Class V1, Water Permeability Class W1, Crack Bridging Class A0, and CO₂ Permeability Class C0.
  • The stated values are based on 28-day laboratory test results and may vary depending on site application conditions.

Application Instructions

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean, and free from dust, oil, and any other contaminants that may reduce adhesion. Voids and damaged areas should be repaired with a suitable repair mortar before application, and the water absorbency of the substrate should be checked.

  2. 2

    Mixing

Pour 6 – 7 L of clean water into a clean mixing container and gradually add the powder mortar. Mix with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free consistency is obtained. Allow the mortar to rest for 5 minutes, then remix before application.

  3. 3

    Application

After the primer has been applied and allowed to dry completely, spread the decorative finish coat evenly over the surface using a steel trowel. Depending on the ambient conditions, texture the surface with circular movements using a plastic float after approximately 20 – 30 minutes.

Important Notes

  • The application and ambient temperature should be between +5 °C and +35 °C.
  • During and after application, protect the surface from direct sunlight, strong winds, excessive moisture, and other adverse environmental conditions.
  • The substrate must be free from oil, dust, dirt, and any other contaminants that may reduce adhesion.
  • To obtain a homogeneous mortar, mix the product using a low-speed mixer operating at a maximum speed of 120 rpm.
  • Do not add lime, sand, cement, or any other additives other than clean water to the mix.
  • The prepared mortar should be used within 2 hours. Do not use mortar that has exceeded its pot life or has started to set.

Storage and Shelf Life

Store in the original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture, frost, and direct sunlight. When stored under appropriate conditions, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Health and Safety

This product is cement-based and may cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Appropriate personal protective equipment (protective clothing, protective gloves, safety goggles, and a dust mask) should be worn during application. The use of a protective skin cream before starting work is recommended. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention without delay.
